One of Canada's most influential songwriters, he has 13 albums, 22 singles, four gold records, and two Juno Awards to his credit. â Valdy remains one of the countryâ s purest and most credible storytellers.â â Toronto Star â Few performers are capable of achieving the kind of energy he generates on stage.â â The Globe and Mail Opening Act: Norman Liota's agility on the guitar and fluency in the language of music is striking. He can conjure up the sonic illusion that many performers are playing simultaneously and makes innovative use of unorthodox techniques. However, it is songwriting that is his real focus in which he explores the mysteries of human existence with a profound and poetic clarity.
