Baden, Digging up Wilmot
Castle Kilbride, 60 Snyder's Road W.
What was here before? For this exhibit we will dig for the truth. A fascinating display that travels through the history of our beautiful township, beginning with fossils from pre-historic times, to Native artifacts, pioneer pieces, all the way to Victorian "trash." The exhibit will highlight William John Wintemberg born in New Dundee, who was the first archaeologist in Canada to study the various aboriginal cultures of Ontario scientifically and was long recognized as the leading authority on that subject. Items kindly on loan from the Ministry of Culture, the ROM and local residents.
