Fergus, Small Town Giant: Beatty Brothers of Fergus, 1874-1964 exhibit
Wellington County Museum & Archives, County Road 18
In honour of the 175th anniversary of the founding of Fergus, this major exhibit tells the story of the growth of a small town maker of farm implements into one of Canada’s foremost manufacturers of household products and wartime munitions. Spanning seventy critical years of industrial and social history, Beatty’s impact on local, national and military history is portrayed in a display of photos and objects.

Toronto, If You Could Travel to Mars, Would You Go?
Ontario Science Centre, 770 Don Mills Rd
FACING MARS is an innovative exhibition focused on the real challenges of sending human explorers to Mars and will be a mainstay at the Ontario Science Centre. With more than 30 exhibits, FACING MARS  combines a range of hands-on experiences with compelling artifacts, such as a rare Mars meteorite from West Africa, and stunning imagery to engage participants in the real physical, psychological and scientific challenges involved in journeying to Mars.

A two day kick off the fall festival season, featuring pick your own apples and pumpkins, horsedrawn wagon rides along the "Apple Tale Trail", scarecrow making, corn maze, food tent, wine tasting, and new product sampling.  Strolling musicians, fresh baked apple fritters, apple pies, apple muffins, caramel apples and much more.

Experts on the Hawk Tower at this globally significant Important Bird Area assist with hawk identification . Features workshops and seminars for experts and novices alike. Dragonfly hikes, hands-on kid's activities, wild hawk releases, bird banding and Monarch Butterfly tagging demonsrations. From 9am to 3pm. Admission only $8.00/car
