Economical Insurance selected as one of Waterloo Area's Top Employers for 2016

Waterloo — Economical Insurance is proud to have been selected as one of Waterloo Area's Top Employers for 2016 by Canada’s Top 100 Employers. Winners were chosen for providing exceptional places to work in Guelph and Canada’s Technology Triangle (Waterloo Region).

To select the winners, judges evaluated companies to determine which ones offer the most progressive and forward-thinking programs based on the following criteria:

5. Employee Communications
6. Performance Management
7. Training and Skills Development
8. Community Involvement


In October, Economical was recognized with a Waterloo Region Healthy Workplace Award for the third consecutive year. This award celebrates workplaces in the region that demonstrate a strong commitment to improving the health and wellness of their employees.

Economical won the Platinum award for sustaining a Gold-level award for three consecutive years. The award recognizes the company’s comprehensive 2014 wellness program that focused on nutrition — promoted through the Eat well…live well campaign.

Economical also won the 2015 Innovator Award, given to a workplace that demonstrates innovative and sustainable workplace wellness programming with a focus on supportive environments. Only one Innovator Award is given out annually, and Economical is pleased to have been selected for its Health Coaching Partnership Program.
